Peter A. Leptuch P.E. has been practicing Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing design for nearly two decades and has been running his own business as a Professional Engineer since January 2011. Pete has completed MEP design on more than 1000 projects throughout his career. There is no substitute for experience and Peter A. Leptuch P.E. is licensed in 48 states of the U.S. to practice Mechanical and Electrical Engineering. Pete’s team has experience finding solutions that meet code requirements, while minimizing deviation from the architectural and owner’s intent, all while conforming to a construction budget.
Mechanical
Whether you want the simplicity and cost effectiveness of packaged RTU’s and concentric diffusers, the efficiency and controllability of a variable refrigerant flow system, or you have a mall job site with a VAV, chilled water system or condenser water loop, we can design to your needs. We have had success in designing for a wide range of jurisdictions and diverse climates. We embrace challenges to effectively design in jurisdictions all the way from the strict energy efficient code compliance of California to the humid, tropical, and hurricane prone counties of Florida. Our engineering team has developed the skills necessary to create designs that not only meet code requirements, but balance cost and efficiency.
Plumbing
Much like the previously mentioned disciplines, before we dive into our designing process, we find it crucial to have solid site information. We combine that with comprehensive knowledge of code requirements for the given jurisdiction. Our design team stays abreast of code changes, making us a valuable resource for plumbing consultation.
Electrical
Attention to detail is undoubtedly a hallmark of successful design. In our electrical designs, we first complete a comprehensive appraisal of the project by examining field coordination items. We follow sustainable and energy efficiency design principles and offer photometric calculations to properly illuminate spaces and reduce energy consumption. From state-of-the-art kitchens and inviting dining rooms, to neon-lit fitness facilities, our designs are detailed, thoughtful and thorough. We seek to provide contractors clean and communicative sets to decrease opportunity for error in the field and, ultimately, reduce city comments to get businesses up and running effectively.
Third Party Code Compliance Review
Are you a licensed PE looking for a second set of eyes to review your work? Are you a city needing with too much on your plate to review in-house? Peter A. Leptuch P.E. will personally review your sets and produce peer review or plan check comments for your MEP sets.
Site Survey
Visualization is imperative to producing a quality design. That is why we perform our own site surveys for projects that do not have a third-party site inspection team. Our engineers visit job sites to gather empirical details and examine field coordination items. Doing so ensures that designs between disciplines are cooperative and synergistic. Our hands-on approach and experience in taking the right site survey photos and asking the right questions at the job site leaves no uncertainty when it comes time to draft systems.
